Swinging Guidance

Do's

  • Be truthful and honest.
  • Understand No means no, consent is sexy!
  • Talk to your partner if you are in a couple; let them know your feelings.
  • Be yourself
  • Decide what your needs are, your interests and desires.
  • Tell other people what your needs, interests and desires are.
  • Always use Condoms.
  • Be willing to try new things... within your limits.
  • Move at your own pace & Don't be rushed by other people.
  • Respond even if it is to say, 'no thanks'.
  • If you are meeting someone online and they are not "verified" via the site's mechanism, ask for verification either via phone call or video call. That way you are not suddenly meeting 1 half of the couple because the other suddenly could not make it. They/he/she look nothing like their photo.
  • Establish consent for any form of kink, roughness, groping, even kissing. What may seem normal to you may not be to others.
  • Have good hygiene (brush your teeth, take a shower, wear clean clothes).
  • Always tell someone where you are going, even if its another fellow swinger. Having an “out” and someone who knows if there is something wrong if you don't contact them is important. Your safety is paramount even when visiting clubs/hotels or people's homes.
  • Have Fun

Don'ts

  • Don't be rude/crude.
  • Don't get drunk!
  • Don't be vague about your desires.
  • Don't Lie.
  • Don't cross other people's limits.
  • Don't give out personal information until you're very comfortable with others.
  • Don't treat the Swinging world like the regular Vanilla world as the two are very different when it comes to who takes the lead. In Swinging it is a woman who holds the "power" as such, who takes the lead. You need to let them come to you, by all means make your attraction known but let her (as a single or the female half of a couple) approach you not the other way round.
  • Don't play rough (e.g., slapping, choking, restraint) unless it's been explicitly discussed as being on the table; seriously, even if you are a passive ass-slapper, keep it contained and ASK instead.
  • Don't expect anything — just because you go out with a single/couple (and even if you pay for drinks/dinner) doesn't mean you are entitled to anything.
